As part of our ongoing commitment to promote children’s social, moral, spiritual and cultural well being and to encourage a greater sense of achievement for all pupils; we have introduced a House Point system to school.
The school has been divided into four houses: Trust, Respect, Courage and Ambition and all children have been allocated a house. Where possible children of the same family have been allocated in to the same house, whilst ensuring that the number of children are fairly balanced between each house. Every child has a coloured badge that represents their house. If lost they can be bought for 20p from the office. Each house has 2 House Captains, which have been appointed via an application and interview process; these children are from Year 6.
Any member of staff can award House Points to any child, at any time and for any reason if they are showing elements of positive and consistent exemplary behaviour, collaboration and team work, friendship, fair play and many other outstanding qualities. We want to reward all pupils for their hard work and the efforts that they make on daily basis in and out of the classroom.
Each week the Houses will celebrate their points during assembly and within class and the winning house will be rewarded with bonus points and different prizes or rewards. All House Points will be recorded in classes and on the House Point display in the hall, House Points can only ever be given they cannot be taken away from children.
At the end of each term the House with the most points will be rewarded for their excellent contribution towards school.
