I am delighted to share with you the success of our second year of Vibe awards. A number of ceremonies were hosted in school over the past two weeks. Once again, lots of our families came together to celebrate the fantastic achievements of our wonderful children.
For the past three years, Malvern- in collaboration with Vibe Outdoors UK- have worked together to craft a progressive curriculum aimed at nurturing our students’ outdoor skills and pushing their personal boundaries. This curriculum offers Malvern pupils the opportunity to develop resilience, grit and determination while mastering outdoor pursuits. By incrementally building on these skills year by year, we are confident that our students have the best possible chance to meet the requirements of the Earl of Derby Award.
During the award ceremony, each student received a certificate and badge in recognition of their achievements at Vibe. Additionally, we had the pleasure of presenting several special awards to celebrate students who exemplify the values and attributes we hold dear at Malvern.
This year, the event was once again supported by fantastic school colleagues and we were delighted to welcome distinguished guests to help present the awards. Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to Matt Wilson, Governor at Malvern; Graham Morgan, Leader of Knowsley Council and Governor at Malvern; Colin Dever, Swanside Councillor; Anthony Daly, a former pupil and now Operations Manager at Next Energy and Mark Bingley, another esteemed former pupil who is now the Principal Regeneration Officer at Knowsley Council. Your presence added immense value to the occasion and certainly inspired our students.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Taylor, whose dedication ensured that the setting was befitting of such a special occasion and a special thank you also goes to Miss Byrne, our Lord Derby Award Champion, for her outstanding efforts in preparing and organizing the event.
Looking ahead, we are excited about the prospect of even more Malvern students celebrating their achievements in the upcoming academic year. Our partnership with Vibe will continue to inspire and motivate our pupils to reach new heights, and we can’t wait to witness their future successes.
