If you are interested in joining our Malvern community and would like to come to visit our school, we have an open day scheduled for:
Thursday 7th November 2024 1.30pm-3.00pm
This session is a drop-in so please feel free to arrive at any time during the afternoon. Tours of school are facilitated by our wonderful year six prefects.
Pupils enrol into Nursery in September and January – usually the term following the child’s third birthday. Our provision encompasses a flexible offer, and includes:
– 15 hour places – am or pm
– for those eligible, 30 hours government funded free childcare places – full days
An application form is available directly from the school office or it can be accessed via the link below. Please note, our nursery places fill quickly and it is highly recommended that you apply for your place at least one year prior to your child turning three.
Please Note: Obtaining a place in nursery does not give your child any priority for admission to our reception class. Reception places are allocated through the Knowsley School Admissions Procedure.
Reception
We are a community primary school and welcome all applicants – regardless of geographic location. We are a two form entry school, with a reception cohort of 60 children. As a community school, we are governed by the Knowsley School Admissions Team, who determine the allocation of places. The Admission Policy is available on the Knowsley Council website: Knowsley Council School Admissions The application period, for entry in to reception, will open annually, no later than the 12th September. In Knowsley, children are admitted to reception classes at the beginning of the school year in which they have their fifth birthday. This means children who have their fifth birthday on or between 1 September 2025 and 31 August 2026 can take up a full-time reception class place from the beginning of the Autumn term in September 2025.
The annual national closing date for reception class applications is the 15 January. The Knowsley application is for use by Knowsley residents only. If you live in another authority, you must apply on your home authority’s application, but you can name primary schools in Knowsley as preferences if you wish.
