During the 2023/2024 school year, Dr Elizabeth Parr (Principal Lecturer in Initial Teacher Education at Liverpool John Moores University) interviewed several members of staff about Malvern’s approach to engaging children with the plays of a certain Mr William Shakespeare. The resulting article was published in the ‘English 4-11’ magazine – a joint publication from The English Association, The National Association for the Teaching of English and the United Kingdom Literacy Association. The three-page article celebrates Malvern’s involvement with the Shakespeare North Playhouse in Prescot and the Coram Shakespeare Schools Foundation.
