Romeo & Juliet
Drama and Theatre Club children’s first theatrical outing of the 2025/2026 school year took place on the evening of Wednesday 17th September. Children and staff gathered at the Everyman Theatre to see Shakespeare’s most famous tragedy: Romeo & Juliet. Directed by Ellie Hurt, the production was powerful, energetic and very cleverly staged. Malvern children had front row seats and were, as usual, excellent ambassadors for our school. Members of staff received several kind comments from audience members about the children’s perfect conduct. At the end of the play, actor Joe Alessi (Capulet) talked to the children and said that all of the cast were really impressed with their engagement and behaviour. Children told Joe about their own performance of Romeo & Juliet at Shakespeare North Playhouse – and that they will be performing The Tempest in February.
