Drama & Theatre Club

On Thursday 27th April, actor Julian Feria visited Drama and Theatre Club.

Julian talked to the children about how he came to be an actor and the children asked lots of questions.

Julian helped with activities and organised two games for the children.

The children (and Julian) had a fab time !

A big ‘thank you’ to Julian for taking the time to come into school.

On Thursday 23rd February, actor Sam Barrett visited school to talk to members of Drama and Theatre Club.  Sam is playing Jimmy Smith in the touring production of ‘Thoroughly Modern Millie’.

Sam talked to the children about his early interest in drama and how he became a professional actor.  The children asked Sam lots of questions – and investigated how many accents he could do !

A huge ‘thank you’ to Sam for making time to come into school.

The programme’s theme was the 400th anniversary of the death of William Shakespeare.  Drama and Theatre Club children visit the theatre to see at least one Shakespeare play every year.

The part of Saturday Live featuring our Y6 children (Millie, Holly, Ben, Stephen, Eve, Lucy, Rachael and Alicia) starts just after 31 minutes into the programme.  Click on the Radio 4 icon to listen to the show.
